Grading Foreman

The Grading Foreman is responsible for overseeing and supervising daily activities of the base crew including safety and quality. The Grading Foreman must be willing to perform on-site job duties along with the crew and ensure compliance with safe work practices, policies, procedures and government regulations.

Responsibilities:
– Supervise and coordinate construction projects from start to finish
– Oversee and manage a team of construction workers (5-8)
– Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines,
– Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents
– Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with safety regulations
– Utilize construction management software (such as B2W Salus) to track project progress and communicate with team members
– Provide regular updates to supervisors on project status, milestones, and any potential issues,

Ability to operate and maintain equipment such as Graders, skid steers, excavators, packers,

Experience:
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in the road building construction industry
– Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials
– Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction documents
– Familiarity with construction management software (such as B2W Salus) and other relevant tools
– Excellent organizational and time management skills
– Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $33.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
